Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

Walking by Faith, Not by Sight

KJV, 2 Corinthians 5:7: “(For we walk by faith, not by sight)”

Faith is not based on physical sight or outward reality, but on a spiritual substance. It is the inner assurance God gives us to walk with Him, do His will, and serve Him. While the natural man lives by physical senses, the believer is called to walk by the Spirit.

God is Spirit and works from the spiritual realm, revealing His will to us through His Word and by impressions in our spirit. Faith is the spiritual reality by which we perceive and follow Him personally. It is not based on guessing or assumptions, but on the light of God’s truth within our hearts.

We cannot walk with God without His light. Just as a blind man cannot walk without sight, we cannot follow Him without spiritual understanding. That is why we must depend on the Holy Spirit through prayer and daily study of the Scriptures, so He can teach us His ways.

The measure of God’s truth in our hearts determines how deeply we walk with Him. As our understanding grows, our faith strengthens, and we can stand firmly, serve Him faithfully, and experience greater manifestations of His power.

If we desire to grow closer to God and do more for Him, we must continually grow in the knowledge of His truth—and as we do, our lives will be transformed.
