You are the central focus of God's attention during prayer
You are the central focus of God's attention during prayer.
And as for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not dwell on them; they have been found. And on whom does all of Israel's desire rest? Is it not upon you and your father's house? – 1 Samuel 9:20
You are undeniably God's desire, His focal point, and a person of great interest to Him. The challenges or troubles that brought you to God in prayer are not random—they are designed to draw you closer to Him, as He has been pursuing your attention all along. Do not allow the pressing needs that brought you to God in prayer to distract you from His urgent desire to connect with you. Remain vigilant and responsive to His words, burdens, visions, instructions and plans for your life while you pray.
The purpose of seeking God in prayer is not merely to address our urgent needs. Prayer is meant to ignite a fervent desire for fellowship with God and facilitate regular encounters with Him. Understand that the essence of prayer is for God to implant His truths, visions, purposes and power within your heart, empowering you to become an instrument for His glory wherever you go.
Every true encounter with God in prayer must leave a mark of transformation on your life. You cannot walk away unchanged; you must emerge with unforgettable encounters. Those around you should witness and testify that your prayers are not just a ritual, but that you are experiencing true encounters with God that lead to evident transformations in your life.
Prayer is not merely a topic for discussion; the impact of your prayers should be tangible and visible. A devoted person of prayer is recognised by the transformative changes they experience, not just by their rhetoric about prayer. The effects of prayer must be evident in the life of anyone committed to it.
