Obedience in Sufferings
Jesus exemplified that obedience to God is forged in suffering before He was appointed as the author of our eternal salvation. No one achieves a great feat of promotion without enduring a rigorous test or examination. God had to validate the obedience and loyalty of His Son in times of suffering.
Leaders are not merely called by God; they are crafted through His hands. Until God tests your obedience by placing you in challenging circumstances, observing your loyalty amidst adversity, He will not allow you to partake in His kingdom work. You may receive responsibility from people or appoint yourself as a leader, but in God’s eyes, your work holds no significance until you are proven.
Your preparation to fulfil the ministry God has called you to is not measured solely by your spiritual growth or anointing; it hinges primarily on your obedience to God when it is inconvenient. True leaders emerge not just because of their talents or skills, but because they are profoundly committed to God, obeying Him under severe conditions. While some may choose to follow God when it suits them, if He has called you to lead His people, your obedience must be unwavering, regardless of the circumstances you encounter.
Jesus mastered obedience through His suffering, and it was through this process that He was perfected to serve as our Leader. Leaders are forged in the fires of adversity. It would be unjust for God to allow you to bypass the trials of suffering while presenting you to the world. You must face your own trials under God’s oversight and enabling grace before you can take your rightful place in the world.
When God finally unveils you as one of His leaders after your preparation, you will not only be recognised for your gifts or charisma, but also for your righteous and commendable behaviour. God may permit unusual challenges to test the anointed ones, ensuring they are fit to bear the glory He has prepared for them. The weight of God's glory is immense, and only those who undergo rigorous testing can effectively carry it. So, a person destined to carry the glory of God must first prove their loyalty through trials.
