Greater is He that is in you


You are of God, little children, and you have overcome them, for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. — 1 John 4:4

The Lord Jesus, who lives inside you, is greater than the devil that disturbs your peace. When we truly know the Lord and the victory He has given us through His death and resurrection, our identity in Christ becomes clear, freeing us from fear of the devil and his agents. Those who know who they are in Christ and who put their trust in Him cannot be defeated or stopped by the devil. We possess the authority in Jesus Christ to thwart the devil's actions and cast him out of our space. The Lord in us is mightier than the devil and He is empowering us to embrace courage and confidence in Him.

Nothing occurring in the world can hinder your growth and blessings unless you permit the devil to interfere. He may cause trouble for others, but you are not destined to be his victim because the Lord within you is greater. The devil cannot impede your purpose unless you allow him. Keep your heart untroubled by the evil around you, as the Lord within you wields greater authority, power, and wisdom. Trust in the Lord who resides in you; He will never bring you shame or make you prey to the devil. Dedicate yourself to knowing the Lord Jesus intimately to enhance your faith, confidence, and boldness to resist and triumph over the works of the devil.

Your growth in the knowledge of the Lord and in your identity in Him fuels your boldness in faith and strengthens your spirit, making you irresistible and unstoppable. Do not let the devil’s actions distract you. Remain grounded in your faith in God, holding on tightly through any challenges you encounter. Your redeemer is mighty and far greater than the devil, and He will protect you from ridicule and despair. The Lord your God, who dwells in you, is your mighty Saviour. He delights in you and will calm all your fears with His love.

The Word became Answer RSV, John 1:14: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father." The Word, or Logos, became human as God's response to our need for salvation, addressing all our spiritual needs and the limitations we face as humans.
