KJV+, Gen 1:28: "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
In the passage above we see that God blesses humanity and commands them to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and have dominion over it. This means that when we receive blessings, gifts, skills, or talents from God, we are expected to use them to positively influence our communities and the world. It would be foolish and unproductive to sit idle with the blessings we have received. Just as a wise son would manage and improve what his father has given him, we are called to administer and multiply the gifts and blessings bestowed upon us by God.
To fulfil this mandate, we must first identify the areas in which God has blessed or enriched us. It's not a mere suggestion but an unchangeable command from God for each of us to multiply the blessings we have received in the lives of others. We will be held accountable for how we have managed the blessings entrusted to us. Our purpose in life is to add value and bring improvement to the lives of others through the grace we have received.
We are sent into the world by God to become blessings to people around us. If we fail to obey God's command to bring joy to others with the blessings we have received, we will be counted as unprofitable in His sight. Bearing fruit with the gifts or skills God has given us is just the beginning of the great things He wants to accomplish through us. We should aim to progress from bearing fruit to multiplying blessings in the lives of others by training them to bear fruits with the blessings they have received. By faithfully carrying out this process, we will fill our communities with the grace God has given us and become positive influencers in the lives of others.
