Phil 2:13: "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."
We must work with God through faith and obedience to see the fulfilment of the good work He is doing in our hearts, which He also intends to fulfil in the lives of others. It is by faith and acting responsively that God will strengthen us and help us to fulfil His purpose for our lives. Without an exercise of faith in what we believe God to do for us, nothing that God has purposed for us will come into the physical manifestation. Faith involves acting on your belief that God will do for you what you cannot do for yourself.
Many people who claim to believe in Christ and are living according to their human nature are missing out on experiencing the glory of God in their lives. This happens because they only keep Christ in their hearts without allowing Him to take the lead in their lives and be reflected in their behaviour. Some will compromise their faith on the altar of sin, and they will return to the church to share the testimony of things that God didn't do for them. It is pointless to have Christ in your life if you keep Him confined to your heart and do not allow Him to shine through you and be revealed in your life. Your life wouldn't be different from those that haven't received Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Having Christ in you and going about to seek help from the ungodly is like a man who is sitting on a goldmine and yet going about seeking help. The Christ in you is the hope of the glorious life that God has purposed for you. If we sit down with Christ to know Him through His words, we will be amazed by the instructions and counsel we will receive from Him for our help, breakthroughs, and transformation. We must make space in our hearts for Christ and seek fellowship with Him. Through regular communion with Him and obedience to His instructions, His importance in our lives will increase, and His glory will be made manifest in our lives.
