John 12:26: "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, he will my Father honour."

Receiving blessings in our calling requires an unwavering commitment to following the Lord Jesus Christ and being in the location where He has placed us for ministry. True success in life and ministry is only attainable through wholeheartedly following Jesus and consistently heeding His guidance. Without steadfast dedication to following Him, we cannot discern our ministry calling or fulfil our assigned purpose. It is imperative that we diligently adhere to Jesus' teachings and instructions to align ourselves with His divine will for our lives.

To please the Lord Jesus and receive His assistance, we must never falter in our obligations to follow and listen to Him. Our impact, influence, and productivity in ministry are intricately tied to our resolute dedication to following Him and serving Him faithfully. Only by maintaining our steadfast devotion to following Him can we stay aligned with Him and seize the opportunities and guidance He provides. There is no room for flickering – claiming to serve the Lord Jesus while not following Him will result in missed opportunities and misplaced efforts. It is only through unreservedly following Him that we can fulfil our purpose and find fulfilment in ministry.

Seeking to serve the Lord Jesus with the grace that He has not given us will not benefit the kingdom of God or the person labouring. We can only experience His presence, His power, grace, favour, and blessings in the ministry He assigned to us. This explains why some people struggle with what God has not called them to do.

We cannot disconnect ourselves from Jesus after receiving a calling from Him unless we want to be unfruitful in ministry. The Lord who called us knows us well, knows the grace and ministry He has given us, and knows the direction of our ministry. Trying to succeed without Jesus is an illusion. Jesus must be the Lord of our lives and the leadership over the ministry He has given us for us to be fruitful and successful. Hearing from the Lord Jesus by following His teachings is the key to staying committed and relevant in ministry.
