Ps 55:22: "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
The LORD asks us to cast our burdens upon Him because Jesus Christ has already taken care of them on the cross. By casting our burdens upon the LORD through a prayer of faith, we are exchanging our troubles for the solutions which God promised us in the scriptures.
Prayer is the way we transact with God for His intervention in our lives. Without a transaction of prayer with God, God will not intervene in human affairs, no matter what He sees. Faith is the currency by which we transact with God, and it is essential to have faith in our hearts to receive anything from Him.
The measure of faith we bring to God in prayer determines the results we will get. If we have great faith, we will receive great results. But if our faith is limited, we shouldn't expect significant answers. Our knowledge of the word of God and our awareness of the great things God is doing through people in our time influence the measure of faith we have.
As we read and study more about God in the scriptures and His works through people, our faith grows. We need to continue growing in our faith for God to entrust us with greater responsibility. God does not deal with us based on our education or wealth but on our faith in Him. Faith is crucial for reaching our goals and succeeding in life. It's the most important thing to possess alongside everything else in our lives to walk with God.
Your strength can take you a certain distance, but to go further in life, you need to have faith in God. In our journey with God, it's important to always carry faith in our hearts. Without faith, we won't be able to connect with Him or find Him. In all our interactions with God, we should ensure that faith is present in our hearts, as it is the means through which God will reach and bless us. Faith is the signal through which we connect with God in prayer and receive His help. It's the heart of faith that God responds to, and not an empty heart or a heart filled with something else.
