Gen 18:17-18: "The LORD said, "I shouldn't hide what I am going to do from Abraham. After all, Abraham is going to become a great and mighty nation, and through him, all the nations of the earth will be blessed."

Abraham pleaded with God to spare Sodom from judgment for the sake of his cousin Lot and Lot's family living there. Abraham's close relationship with God informed the reason why God couldn't hide His plan in Sodom from him. And that is what spurred Abraham to intercede for the people of Sodom, especially for the deliverance of Lot and his family that was living there. God revealed His plans to Abraham because of their friendship and because the events took place in the vicinity of where Abraham lived and fulfilled the purpose of God for him to have a stake in nations. This shows that God will share His plans with those who have a close relationship with Him and seek Him regularly through prayer, especially when the plans align with their assignments and location so that He can work through them.

God will share such information with His partners in those lands to fulfil His purposes for their lives and establish their work there. Even though God has sent us on a mission to further His kingdom, we cannot leave God behind but walk closely with Him before the ministry given to us can be fulfilled and fruitful where He placed us. We need to be seen by God as effectively carrying out the assignments He assigned to us for Him to work out His plans through our ministries.

We must continually develop ourselves because God has placed us in our locations to become His authorities to be reckoned with in the ministries He has given us. When God sends any of His servants on a mission within the area of our assignment, God will, at times, have to make those individuals involve us or seek our assistance for their mission to succeed. Without our involvement, their work within our ministry's calling and location will not be successful. We are key players, and we must trust God for our ministry to have a voice in the work of God that is going on within our ministry's scope and location.
