Those I counted loss for Christ

Phil 3:7: "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ."

Before encountering Jesus Christ, we may hold certain things dear and valuable. However, once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, those things should be considered insignificant in comparison to Christ and His glory. The presence of Christ in our lives should be esteemed more highly than any worldly possessions and accomplishments. The returns of knowing Christ are far greater than any earthly accomplishments.

Ultimately, nothing material can be taken from this world, except for our relationship with Christ and our service to Him. We should cherish our relationship with Him and prioritize maintaining it. The value of knowing Christ exceeds any earthly achievements. Those who recognize the worth of Christ prioritize daily communion with Him and are willing to make sacrifices to maintain a connection with Him.

However, those who are without a spiritual understanding may fail to recognize the worth of Christ, as this understanding is granted only to those with spiritual discernment. If we find ourselves placing more value on worldly matters than on knowing the Lord Jesus and growing our faith in Him, it indicates a need for spiritual renewal. Neglecting prayer, fasting, and fellowship with other believers points to a loss of spiritual hunger for Christ.
