Gospel of the Kingdom
Mat 24:14: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."
The advancement of the kingdom of God is achieved through preaching the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and not through any gimmicks or alternative methods. A church that confines its activities within its building and does not engage in preaching the gospel has lost its primary purpose and will struggle to grow in numbers. Regardless of how much effort is put into prayer, fasting, or philanthropic works, a church that remains stagnant and does not vigorously engage in preaching the gospel will not experience growth. Merely speaking in tongues or prophesying within the church building will achieve nothing if we fail to go out and preach the gospel.
Jesus Christ did not save us to remain stagnant but to go out and bring others to the kingdom of God. Failure to preach the gospel will hinder us from growing into the full capacity of God's grace and blessings. The growth of a church and its members in every aspect is dependent on their obedience to the task of preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Being a church member is not the end goal; after personally knowing the Lord Jesus, the next step is to actively seek the furtherance of the kingdom of God. We are all saved to participate in God's quest for the advancement of His kingdom, and it is our duty to be engaged in this mission wherever we are.
A church fixated solely on nurturing its members spiritually and neglecting evangelism will inevitably stagnate, regardless of the quantity of their prayers. Every member of the body of Christ should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, live for Him, and actively contribute to the advancement of the kingdom of God through their church. The kingdom of God is not confined to the church building but is about spreading the message of salvation, healing the sick, liberating the oppressed, and casting out demons from the oppressed.
