The Sons of Issachar

1 Chronicles 12:32 states that the sons of Issachar had an exceptional understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do. Those who walk closely with God will possess discerning ability and a sense of urgency to fulfil His purpose.

Opportunities must not be wasted, as they are a crucial appearance of timing. Knowing what to do and when to do it is a critical aspect of walking closely with God. In these times, we must be even more attuned to God's timing and purpose.

Procrastination and spiritual blindness have no place in the life of a believer who desires to obey God's will and purpose. Daily prayer and studying of the word of God are essential in preparing our hearts to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

We must be discerning by the Spirit of God to know what to do at the right time so we won't miss a divine opportunity.
We must take advantage of every opportunity to showcase God's light within us. We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading and respond promptly to what needs to be done.

We must focus on what God wants us to do, not what we want to do. God has assigned specific tasks to us according to His calendar for our individual lives. We must never be idle, but always progress in our obedience to the ministry that God has given to us.
