The Path of the Just
Proverbs 4:18 states, "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day." This means that your journey with God is a progressive one, much like a shining light moving forward. God will continue to reveal the details of your mission to you until you have fully fulfilled what is inside it. You are a work in progress, and God is constantly refining and polishing you to bring forth your true potential.
The light of God's word in your heart is the tool by which He works on you daily. You must commit to studying the scriptures and draw closer to God through prayer. This will give you the advantage of understanding His will for your life and conforming to it.
When a work is in progress, it is not open to the public until it is finished or perfected. Similarly, until God removes the things that prevent His glory from shining forth in your life, He will not release you for His use. Do not think that God has forgotten you just because His calling upon your life has not yet come to fruition.
When God is still working on a person, He may cause people who were meant to support them to desert them. This is so that the person can fully concentrate on what God is doing in their life and not be distracted. When God has finished making you for His use, you will appear in glory and become an eternal excellence, a joy to many generations.
If it appears that God is delaying in using you, know that He is making you an instrument of His glory that will shine and be relevant for a long time. Do not compare yourself to others whom God has quickly released for use. God is spending more time on you because He has a greater purpose for your life.
