Not by bread alone
Deuteronomy 8:3 clearly states that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Therefore, it is not only important but imperative to regularly feed our spirit with the word of God to be able to stand strong in faith and live a victorious life.
Without the word of God alive and abundant in our spirit, we cannot resist temptation or grow in faith. The word of God strengthens our spirit, just as food nourishes our body. Neglecting to feed our spirit regularly with the word of God will lead to spiritual compromise, causing us to pick up the sins we have dropped.
Not feeding ourselves with the word of God always will lead to our compromise causing our spiritual life to suffer, and leave us vulnerable to defeat at the hand of the devil. It is by feeding our spirit with the word of God that God will be able to build us up and prepare us for the purpose He has called us to serve.
Nobody will make progress in his walking with God without continuous craving for the knowledge of God and feeding himself with the word of God always. The knowledge we gain from the word of God will create a burning desire in us to become like Christ and give us the strength to imitate Him in all things.
Everything we need to live a godly life and make an eternal impact is all in the word of God for us to access. We have the grace, power, wisdom, understanding, and anointing through the word of God to fulfil the mission of Christ.
