Great leaders walk alone but work with a team
Lamentations 3:27-28 states: "It is good for a man that he bears the yoke in his youth. He sitteth alone and keepeth silence because he hath borne it upon him."
Being a leader is a great responsibility, and it is good for a person to bear it in their youth when they have the strength to do so. Effective leaders learn, grow, and build their capacities alone, but work with a team to fulfill their vision. If you don't enjoy walking with God alone and acquiring great knowledge by yourself, then you cannot inspire and lead others, and you will not last long in impacting people's lives.
Real leaders walk alone, understanding God's mandates for themselves first, received through intense fellowship with the word of God. It is in their solitude with God that they receive the power to influence others for righteousness and godly living. They build their knowledge power through reading about the great works of other leaders who have gone ahead of them in what they are doing. Their pursuit of God and their destinies is intense and immense, allowing them to be ahead of others as a leading light.
Great leaders wake up early and seek the face of God for themselves and the lives of those under them. They also stay up late, reading and learning to be better leaders, driving themselves to be ahead because of the people who look up to them. They do not want to fail God and their people and have signed off the right to live for themselves. Instead, they live to add value to the lives of those under their leadership.
