Follow God's Leading

John 11:6 tells us that when Jesus heard about the sickness of his friend Lazarus, he did not immediately rush to pray for his healing. Although Jesus had a great affection for Lazarus, he also knew that the power he used in his ministry was not his own, but came from God. Therefore, he waited for God to direct him before taking any action.

Similarly, we need to wait on God for guidance for every work we do in the name of the Lord in ministry so that we don't run ministry without God's participation of presence, power and glory. No matter how anointed we may think that we are, we are not the doer of God's work, but God. So everyone who is called by God must of necessity seek His direction before taking any action in whatever they do for God.

As servants of God, we are called to carry out God's instructions and not merely perform without God's presence and power following us. No one should live or operate in ministry outside the will of God. The word of God should be our guide for living and our compass for direction in whatever we are doing.

We should remember that the God we serve is not lazy, and He will not condone any act of laziness or procrastination from us. God is always at His work, and He will always guide us to be occupied serving Him and impacting the lives of people around us. As we follow the Lord, He will guide us continually and move us forward.

If you ever feel uncertain about the direction you should take, take the time to wait before God and ask Him to make His will clear to you. With patience and trust in God's plan, you will continue to advance His kingdom and make a significant difference in the lives of those around you.
