You are the light of the world
Matthew 5:14 tells us that we are the light of the world! As believers, we are called to be the leading light in the world, not those who do not know Christ. We cannot afford to shy away from leadership calling and responsibilities. If we continue to do so, we will keep ourselves in the background in the world and continue suffering at the hands of those who do not acknowledge God, and this will negatively affect our lives, families, and the church.
We are the light of the world and not the light of the church and our leadership domain of influence and impact is not in the church, but in the world, in the communities, nations, and all places where we find ourselves. We should not hide our light wherever and whenever we see that things are wrong or when see the presence or the works of darkness around us.
If we have a clear vision of God's plan and have developed our leadership potential, we should put ourselves forth to lead. We should not wait to be called upon wherever we discover a leadership vacuum.
We should not shy away from leadership responsibilities. God has chosen us by His grace to lead and we should not excuse ourselves from that calling. We should allow people to always benefit from the grace of God in our lives and should not deny them the timely help that they need.
Whenever we are called upon to lead, we should accept the calling even if we feel unqualified. When we accept the responsibility, God will give us the grace to do it and His glory will be made manifest through us.
