True Disciple

John 8: 31. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed in him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.

By continuing in the word of Jesus Christ, we will be able to deepen our understanding of Him and apply His teachings to our lives. This is how we become true disciples of Jesus. It is not enough to simply believe in Him, we must also actively seek to learn from Him daily and obey His commands.

Meditating on the word of God helps us internalize its message and write it in our hearts. It is through this process that the Holy Spirit works within us to reveal His timely word. As we read the Scriptures, the Spirit will draw our attention to certain words or phrases, causing us to pause and meditate on them. Through this, we can gain a deeper understanding and uncover the truth that we need to apply to our lives. This process is essential for our spiritual growth and development as leaders in ministry.

Discovering the truth from the teachings of Jesus brings us joy and answers to our needs. It equips us with the knowledge we need to overcome the challenges and attacks of the enemy. The devil seeks to hinder and limit us, but by following the teachings of Jesus and applying the truths we have discovered, we can experience the freedom and victory that Christ has given us.

To fully experience the freedom that Jesus has given us, we must be regular learners under the guidance of Jesus. We must continually seek His teachings, apply them to our lives, and grow in our understanding of Him. This is how we become true disciples of Jesus and experience the abundant life He offers.

The Word became Answer RSV, John 1:14: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father." The Word, or Logos, became human as God's response to our need for salvation, addressing all our spiritual needs and the limitations we face as humans. The written word, the scriptures, is also provided by God to meet our needs. However, many struggle to find answers to their challenges in the scriptures due to their lack of understanding of them.
