The secret of a successful Christian ministry
John 5:19 states that Jesus said he could do nothing by himself, but only what he saw the Father doing. This highlights the importance of authentic leadership and the role of God in it. Authentic leaders seek guidance from God and do not act for their glory. They understand that they are vessels for God's work and that they must follow His instructions to achieve true success.
God has given us gifts and abilities to use for His purposes, not for our self-promotion. Therefore, leaders need to submit their gifts to God and use them for His glory. Those who choose to use their gifts for their own desires risk being made irrelevant in God's plan, as God will not allow two kings to rule in the same boat.
Sometimes, leaders may be tempted to run programs that are not in line with God's plan, simply because they see others succeeding in them. However, success is not the same as fulfillment, and it is only by staying close to God and imitating Him that we can achieve true fulfillment in our work.
Ultimately, it is God who is the indispensable personality in His work, and not His servants. He supplies the grace, strength, anointing, and resources needed to do His work. Therefore, it is important for leaders to always seek God's guidance and follow His instructions to achieve true success in their ministry.
