Seeking God's Power to do great works
In Acts 2:3-4, the Bible describes how the Holy Spirit appeared to the disciples as cloven tongues of fire, empowering them to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The fire of the Holy Spirit is an immensely powerful force that longs to empower us to do mighty works. However, individuals must cultivate a deep longing in their hearts for the manifestation of God's glory, only then will they be filled with the power to serve God and make an impact in the world.
We must spend time in prayer and meditation on the word of God in fellowship with God for the Holy Ghost to be able to set us ablaze for effectiveness and fruitfulness in our calling. Those who neglect their altar, autacise themselves from the manifestation of the grace of God and the mighty working of the power of God in their lives and ministry. The more we burn ourselves in seeking God, the more God will use us to set others ablaze for His mission.
When the fire of God fills your heart, it will give you a purpose to fulfill and the unction to speak with authority. But this empowerment is directly tied to your response to the hunger for the glory that the Holy Ghost creates in your heart. If you are not on fire for God in private, you cannot be on fire for Him in public.
Your ministry before people reflects the temperature of your altar with God. So, give yourself completely to the craving of the Spirit of God within you for the great move of God in our nation or the world, and let God make you a burning fire for His use. Don't hold back, don't hesitate. Embrace the fire, and let it refine and prepare you, so that you may fulfill the purpose for which you were called.
God has ignited our hearts with a passion to serve Him and it is our responsibility now to create an environment where this fire can continually burn. Our significance in God's work is determined by the quality of our relationship with Him. We must never be content with the level of our spiritual growth and should relentlessly seek to deepen our connection with God.
