Lift your eyes from where you are
When God told Abram to lift his eyes and look in Genesis 13:14-15, He was inviting Abram to see beyond his current circumstances and limitations. God wanted Abram to see the vastness of the land that He was going to give him and his descendants. Similarly, God invites us to lift our eyes from our present circumstances and limitations and see the possibilities and promises He has for us.
God's promises often seem impossible to our human understanding. But as believers, we are called to have faith in God's ability to fulfil His plans for our lives. It is through faith in God that we can carry His presence in our hearts and see His power manifested in our lives and our works.
But we need to be prayerful and grounded in the knowledge of the word of God to be able to carry God's presence in our hearts always and believe Him in impossible situations and amid adversities. The more we study and meditate on the word of God, the more our hearts will be enlightened and our faith will grow.
God is looking for people who are willing to believe Him enough to carry His presence and power into the enemy's territories and see Him manifest His glory through them. He wants people who are bold and courageous in faith, through whom He can do great things that nations are yet to see. If we have faith in God's ability and allow Him to lead us, He will open great doors of opportunities to make more impact in ministry and grow in our leadership influence.
So let us take our eyes off our challenges and focus on our strengths and the resources we have been given in Christ, and let us bring the glory of God to the people of the communities or the nations where we are serving God. Let us continue to carry God's presence in our hearts, believing that God can do the impossible through us. And as we walk in faith and obedience, we will experience God's awesome power in our lives and ministries.
