First Call

Exodus 3:10. Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

God's first call to a man He intends to use for ministry is a direct invitation into His presence. The message and power required to fulfil the task ahead are hidden with God who resides in the closet, and it is there that He calls anyone He wants to use to meet regularly with Him. This call is not only for friendship and fellowship but for a deep sense of purpose and mission. Only after establishing a strong relationship with God He can be satisfied and send anyone to His people to fulfil His purpose. Without intimacy with God, empowerment for service is impossible. Therefore, we must respond daily to our closet and meet with God in communion so that He can make us ready to carry out His commands.

The quality of our altar with God is directly proportional to our effectiveness, productivity, and success in life and ministry. A man's ministry cannot surpass the strength of his altar with God. Our devotion to our altar with God defines the strength of our life and the weight of the glory of our public ministry. Those who neglect their altar with God often lead uninspiring and unfulfilled lives. We must give ourselves to the closest ministry with God, for it is only then that He will open the door of public ministry to us.
