Power of a godly passion
John 2:17. Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.”
The passage above beautifully captures the depth and power of passion, especially when it's tied to strong love and a sense of purpose. Passion can indeed drive people to go to great lengths and make sacrifices for the things they care deeply about, whether it's for the well-being of others or fulfilling the vision of God for their lives. Christ's love and sacrifice serve as a powerful example of this. It was Christ's passionate love for us that brought Him to the cross to give Himself as a ransom for our sins. Passion can inspire and push us beyond our natural limitations, fostering a deep connection to our pursuits and sometimes even to a higher purpose. Unless we have the same passionate love that Christ has for the needy and neglected people, we will not be able to pay the necessary price needed for their salvation and well-being.
