Lifting your eyes

Gen 13:14-15: "And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever."

We must look in the direction of the word of God before we can see things that God is planning to give us. The plans and purpose of God for our lives are all written in the scriptures and finding them for God to be able to give them to us is our responsibility. If you don't look or do not look in the direction that God wants you to look, you wouldn't be able to see His purpose for your life which He wants to accomplish through you. Everyone must continually search the scriptures before we will see things that God has given to us and it is what we have seen that God will deliver into our hands. The supernatural involvement and glorious manifestation of God in our lives are dependent first on our works of faith. If we don't make personal efforts to see things that are greater and better than what we have seen and done by God, God will not show them to us and He will not give them to us. Lifting our eyes to see these greater and deeper things from God is a lifetime pursuit for everyone that wants to continuously experience the manifestation of the glory of God in his life. It's God alone that can show us His great plans for our lives and no human can reveal this truth to us. So, we need to turn to God's side daily to be able to see them and believe God to give them to us. What is the object of your focus? Are you looking at the word of God or you are looking at something or someone else? It is how far you can give your attention to the words of God that you will be able to see the plans of God for your life and it's in the measure or size that you have seen them that God will give them to you.
