THE VIOLENT TAKES IT BY FORCE
Mat 11:12: "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."
We must be violent against the devil in spiritual warfare prayer to be able to enter into the rest that God has given to us through Jesus Christ. The devil is still holding many believers back in bondage to one thing or the other, yet the scriptures say that we have been delivered from the power of darkness and have been translated to the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is now our Lord and King, yet there is a parallel government of the devil that is contending against the thriving of the kingdom of God in the lives of many believers. We must never be slothful in prayer but must engage the enemies in consistent spiritual warfare prayer and overcome them in any area that they have been attacking and oppressing our lives. It is by the force of prayer that we will obtain our inheritance in Christ and reach our summit in life. The demonic strongholds will not allow anyone to go free except individuals who take responsibility and fight through intense spiritual warfare prayers before they can be freed from their hands. The devil will not let anyone go freely without a price, and we must pay the price of prayer to recover all that the devil is withholding back from us that God has given to us. It is by the cost of faith and prayer that we will receive all that God has given to us freely by grace through Jesus Christ. Life is about gives and takes, it is about making a demand and supplying what is demanded for. If you don't make any demands from God for the things that you need, though God has them at His disposal, He will still not give them to you because you don't ask Him for them. It is by making demands from God in prayer that God understands that you need His help. Until you engage the enemies that are oppressing you in spiritual warfare to free yourself from their bondage, God will not join you to strengthen you and give you victory over them.
Phil 2:13: "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."
What God is working on in your heart to accomplish in your life and the world, there is a necessity on your part to initiate its physical manifestation by faith for God to be able to strengthen you and help you fulfill it. Without a demonstration or exercise of faith in what we are believing God to do for us, nothing that God has purposes for our lives will come to pass in the physical. That is why faith is acting on what you believe that God will give to you. You can believe in God and yet not exercise faith in Him to receive help from Him and be doing things in your way and by your strength. Many believers in Christ are not living by faith in Christ or not living out their faith in Christ, but live by the dictates of their human nature and the glory of God is missing in their lives and in what they are doing. They only keep Christ in their heart and they are not allowing Him to take the lead in their lives and be seen in their behaviors. They will seek help from the ungodly and the devil when they are in need and they will return to the church to share the testimony of things that God didn't do for them. It is useless having Christ in your life if you have shut Him into your heart and not allowed Him to breathe out through you and be made manifest in your life. Your life wouldn't be different from those that haven't received Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Having Christ in you and going about to seek help from the ungodly is like a man that is sitting on a goldmine and yet going about seeking help. The Christ in you is the hope of the glorious life that God has purposed for you. If we sit down with Christ to know Him through His words, we will be amazed by the instructions and counsel we will receive from Him for our help, our breakthrough, and our transformation. We must create room in our hearts for Christ to increase in importance in our life through our regular communion with Him and be obedient to His instructions for His glory to be made manifest in our life.
