THEY ARE DEAD, YET LIVE ON
Mat 22:32: "I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
Though Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob died a long time, Jesus said that God is their God as though they are still alive physically. It is those who died in faith that God can use their lives to speak to us as examples. The death of a believer in Christ is the putting off of his mortal body, He continues to live on with God without end. If you are not alive with God through Jesus while you are on earth, you cannot be alive with Him after death, and you would end up in eternal damnation. To be alive with God through Jesus Christ means to walk in a living relationship with God by faith in Jesus Christ. The words of God have a major role to play in us being alive in the spirit to be able to walk with God. It is to the measures that we allow the words of God to quicken our spirit that we will respond to God and obey Him. The regular quickening of the word of God in our spirit is fundamentally required to walk with God. The word of God is the light that guides our life to walk with God. We can walk with God through any challenges through the guidance of His word. Believers who have the light of the words of God flooding their hearts will continue to go with God when others are complaining. God does not expect us to stop walking with Him in any situation or circumstances we find ourselves in because He has given us His words as our guiding light to walk through any chaos, trouble, or challenges. Where others are saying there is no way, we can say there is a way, because we have the light of the word of God to lead us through. Where others are discouraged and lose hope in God, we have the words of God as our encouragement, hopes, and comforts to keep us going.
