SHOW ME YOUR WAY

Exo 33:13: "Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people."


Moses asked God to show him the ways of His operations so that He can follow them. The words of God are the practicable ways by which we can walk with God, pleased Him, and fulfill His counsels for our lives.  God will make His way of operation known to us if we are devoted to the study of His words in the scriptures. The Bible is the operational manual given to us by God to read and study and follow the words of God so that God will be able to fulfill His purpose for our lives. Without our obedience to the words of God in the scriptures, there is nothing that we do that will prosper, because God's prosperity, success, and good health depend entirely on abiding by His instructions. The word of God is the guiding light of God to lead us to prosper and be successful in what we are called to do. God has tied all our lives and destinies to His words and our present and future impacts and success depends on our obedience to them. If individuals know that their lives rely upon the word of God, they will not be complacent with the instructions of God given to them. But occupy themselves with the scriptures to understand, recognize or identify the words of God for their lives and retain them in their hearts and obey them always. 


When God comes to fellowship with us, He desires that He will find His words abiding in our hearts as the links through which He will communicate personally with us, but many times God didn't find it so but finds something else. God communicates with His written words and if He finds none in our hearts, He will be limited to communicating what is in His heart with us. It is according to the measure of the written words of God in our hearts that God will reveal His specific words, counsels, or purposes to our hearts. Apart from prayer, the written words of God in the Bible are the links through which we can hear God speaking to us personally. We are tuning our hearts to hear God anytime we turn our hearts to meditate on the scriptures. Our hope for the better future that God wants to give us is in the word of God. Let's study the scriptures, understand what God is saying to us, and obey them, and we will be glad to follow this way of wisdom.

The Word became Answer RSV, John 1:14: "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father." The Word, or Logos, became human as God's response to our need for salvation, addressing all our spiritual needs and the limitations we face as humans. The written word, the scriptures, is also provided by God to meet our needs. However, many struggle to find answers to their challenges in the scriptures due to their lack of understanding of them. But those who genuinely seek truth from the scriptures and are willing to obey God's guidance will find that the scriptures are revealed to them, providing a word from God.
