DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

Mat 16:14,16: "And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. ... And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

The natural man has diverse opinions about who Jesus is, but there is one principal truth to be known about Jesus which is the foundation of all the truth to be discovered about Him. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and this truth is revealed by the Father and it's not learned from man. People may have different or false opinions about who you are based on your past or your circumstances, but you must not allow any one of them to be the foundation of your life and the fuel for your life. If you allow people's opinions and descriptions about you to have control over your mind, you will be limited and confused in life. Jesus does not make a comment on the opinions of people about Him, but only on the truth about His identity from the Father that was made known to Peter. No man knows who we are except the Father who created us in Christ, so we must always go to the word of God and discover our true identities in Christ so that we will not live a false life or pursue a wrong vision. Our argument against the false opinion about ourselves or lies against the church at times is unwarranted. We only need to live as the children of God wherever we are and people will know who we are. We must say or declare only what God says about us from the word of God in whatever circumstances we find ourselves. Our confession should be based on our faith in the word of God and not on our circumstances. Do you know the truth about who you are or are you just living by people's opinions? If others are ignorant about who you are in Christ, should you also be ignorant about your true identity in Christ? God does not bother about what people say about you, His concern is how you are being disturbed by what they say about you and your ignorance for not knowing that you needed to make a true confession about yourself so that you will counteract the lies of the devil about you. Every believer must find out from God through His words the true personalities which God has made them originally in Christ and the capacities they have been given to function in the world. You are greater than the human perceptions of yourself and you are stronger and more honorable in Christ than you think that you are. You are a holy bride of Christ and you have been beautifully and gloriously prepared for Christ. Revelations 21:2. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, you are a marvelous work of God. Psalms 139:14. You are a product of grace through Christ from heaven, and all about you is grace. Anything that is happening in your life and it's not of grace or by grace is not your true identity from God. The grace of God is the signature of your identity in Christ and God wants it visible in all that you do.

That is the reason why we must all take the responsibility to allow the grace of God in our lives to grow every day through our devotion to the study of the word of God daily. The grace of God is made manifest through our faith in the word of God to save and deliver us, and we will do ourselves well by growing our faith through reading and meditation in the word of God each day. Faith is a seed from a man that is planted in God through prayers, positive confession, and obedience to God. We demonstrate our faith towards God or we plant our faith in God and God makes the faith we planted in Him or displayed towards Him to bring forth fruit for us. We must pursue God vigorously and the growth of our faith in Him, lest we become fruitless believers. When we plant our faith in God or demonstrate our faith in Him, He replies to us by grace to help us. Grace is the answer of God to us for the faith we have exhibited towards Him. It is those who authenticated their faith in God that will find God's grace to help them in the hour of their need. Abounding in the grace of God for our help and assistance from God is dependent on the continuous demonstrations of our faith towards God in prayers, fasting, reading, and meditation of the word of God; in our services to God, in obedience to God and confession of our faith. If you want to abound in the grace and the help of God, then increase your faith in God. Don't depend on humans to tell you who God is or what you are in Him, for they will give you their assumptions. Don't allow humans to distort the plan of God for your life. Don't depend on the human or the earthly as a condition to believe what God is saying to you. Don't be disturbed or be carried away by anything humanly or earthly about you. You are not Adamah, not dust from the ground, you are a breath from God. Your earthly body is just a habitation given to you by God for adaptation purposes and not what you are from God. You are a living spirit and not a humus.
