DARKNESS IS AN ADVANTAGE FOR YOUR GLORY TO SHINE
John 1:5: "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
Darkness gives advantages to your light to shine. Darkness is the natural or normal habitation or environment for the glory of God in your lives to be made manifest. The presence of darkness calls for your glory to shine. The troubles and the challenges we face are not strange phenomena but common occurrences for the manifestation of the glory of God in our lives. They are conventional habitats for our spiritual growth and for our faith to work. They are prevalent conditions for the exercise of our faith and for it to grow. No faith is exercised in a normal situation, but in abnormal, irregular, odd, strange, uncommon, unconventional, or unusual situations. The faith of our Lord Jesus Christ works in imperfect, flawed, defective, damaged, deficit, faulty, impaired, minus, incomplete, vicious, or troubled situations.
Rom 4:20: "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;"
Abraham does not waver in believing God’s promise that he is a father of many nations. His faith grew stronger, and in this, he brought glory to God in his challenges. In his natural incapability to bear children, Abraham refused the enemies from taking the glory but gave God the glory by not wavering in his faith in God. We must not allow the devil to take the glory in our challenges or troubles but allow God alone to receive the glory from us by continuing to love God the way we should, seeking God the way we should, and serving Him the way we should. The devil didn't want us to allow God to continue taking the glory in our lives, that is why he brings challenges to us, wears the hearts of some down, and weakens their faith in God. But adverse situations are good and perfect times to let the devil know that we are created for the glory of God and we will continue to give God the glory notwithstanding any situation we find ourselves be it good or bad. It is for the glory that the devil is fighting against believers. But he is an usurper. He does not create us, we are not his properties nor the works of his hand, and he cannot receive the glory from us. If the prince of this world knew they wouldn't have crucified the Lord that carried glory. 1 Corinthians 2:8. A man that carries glory cannot be stopped, put him in any discomforts, and his glory will still find a way to shine brighter and brighter. The devil cannot kill the glory of a man. He may delay it, but cannot stop its manifestation. No matter what the devil does against you, your glory cannot be covered, it will still shine. The glory of God inside you is unconquerable. It is the glory of the Almighty God, and no creations of God, including the devil shall be able to stop it or kill it from shining.
Though the devil has been defeated on the cross through the death of Christ, he was still given freedom by God to move around until when he will be put in eternal damnation forever. But whatever evil he does against believers now does not affect their lives. His evil works against them will not prosper, flourish, nor come to pass in their lives. Through the victory that Jesus Christ has given to us by His resurrection, every work of darkness against us shall be devoured in Jesus' name. The word of God is our victory over the works of the devil. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the word of God is the victory that overcomes the devil. The Bible is the book of the victories or triumphs of believers over the devil. It is the book of the Triumph of the Light over the Darkness. It is for these victories that Christ has saved us and what the Holy Spirit is doing in our lives is to lead us to these victories for us to experience.
Ro 8:37: "No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us."
Despite all that the devil is doing against us, overwhelming victory is ours through Jesus Christ, who loved us. No death, attack, or trouble from the enemies will be able to separate us from enjoying the love of God in Christ. No matter what the enemies do against us, God still loves us as much as He had always been loving us. His love for us does not diminish nor disintegrate. The devil will want us to be discouraged because of the troubles we are going through so that we wouldn't be forthcoming in our faith towards God to experience His love. But we mustn't give him that chance. It takes continual faith in God to be able to enjoy the love of God always through Jesus Christ. Our faith in God must continue to grow and our love must continue to burn for God. We mustn't forget nor lose focus of the love of Christ for us because of the challenges we may be going through. Christ loved us so much and gave Himself for us. Our faith in God and love for Him will help us to enjoy His love further in our lives. Let no one and nothing in this world kill your love for God and faith in Him. Let nothing in the world kill your passion for God, your loyalty to God, and your commitment to Him. Your love and your faith in God are two vital ingredients to walking with God. It is the love and faith or trust that sustain any relationship. Love and trust is the oil that will sustain your relationship with God.
